Project will be 7th With Flash Foods and First since CST Brands Acquisition of Flash Foods
Ashburn, GA July 13, 2016: W. H. Bass, which marked its 32th anniversary on June 30th, participated in the groundbreaking for the new Flash Foods/CST Brands convenience/fuel facility in Ashburn, Georgia. The event, which took place on Wednesday, July 13, featured local, county and state government officials as well as representatives from the Georgia Department of Transportation and the Turner County Development Authority.
Located adjacent to Interstate 75 at 823 East Washington Avenue in Ashburn, the 8,729 square foot travel center will service both automobile and truck traffic. Featuring a “trucker lounge” with full laundry and shower services, the new location is expected to sell over 15 million gallons of fuel during its first year of operation.
The project will be the first since Flash Foods was acquired by convenience store giant CST Brands earlier this year. CST Brands, the nation’s 2nd largest fuel and convenience retailer in North America, owns and operates 1,900 locations.
Construction will commence next week with the facility scheduled to be open on 12/31/2016.
